Epsom based ERS Europe Ltd, part of the Clover Technologies Group, has awarded leading London stationer Wiles Greenworld with the 2010 Office Club Recycler of the Year Award.
Wiles Greenworld have been collecting empty printer cartridges from their customers throughout
2010 and returning them to ERS Europe for recycling, with fantastic results. They recycled 9,617 printer cartridges last year.
ERS Europe is the market leader when it comes to collecting and recycling empty printer cartridges, and works with many of the UK’s leading office supplies companies. The recent amalgamation with Clover has put ERS as part of the largest collector of empties in the industry.
Upon receiving the award, Toby Robins, Sustainable Development Director at Wiles Greenworld commented: “Wiles Greenworld supports and promotes closed loop recycling by returning cartridges to ERS Europe who are one of the largest players in the market, and who are owned by the remanufacturer we favour. This is a partnership that has developed over several years and it was fantastic news to learn that no office supplies company in the UK sends back more cartridges than we
do. The donations made by Wiles Greenworld, to charitable causes as a result of the rebates amounts to tens of thousands of pounds; fabulous!”.
ERS Europe is working hard with Office Club promoting the 2011 Recycling Award to all the members of the buying group and providing innovative marketing ideas to increase awareness of the recycling programme.

Upon receiving the award, Darren Aston commented: “Our company has taken a very positive approach to helping improve the environment. One of the many steps we have taken is collecting a very large number of empty cartridges for recycling. We are very grateful to all our customers and our award winning team for all the hard work that has gone into this very worthy project.
